Step 1
Check if you have a HTTPS website.
If you key in your website URL and it appears as, for example, estoresingapore.com/buyonline, it means that your website has yet to be converted to HTTPS, otherwise it will appear as https://estoresingapore.com/buyonline with a Green Lock icon appeared before the URL :

Type the URL SSLShopper.com to access the site to check if your hosting offers free SSL Certificate.
Under ‘CHECK THE SSL CERTIFICATE ON YOUR SITE‘, enter your server hostname, in the example shown below, www.estoresingapore.com is entered. Next click on the ‘Check SSL‘.
You will be directed to the next screen shown below, indicating the details of your host server and clearly shows if your site offer free SSL certificate. In this example, Yes, it offers, as it states that ‘The certificate will expire in 72 days‘. You need not be overly concerned with the expiry date, continue with the remaining steps to convert your site to HTTPS is the focus for now.
Step 3
Login to your website dashboard to change the URL to begin with HTTPS.
In the dashboard section, click on Settings > General, you will see the following screen. Under WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL), you will see, in this example, http://estoresingapore.com/buyonline.
Under the WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL), type https://estoresingapore.com/buyonline. What we need to do is to include the letter ‘s‘ in the ‘http‘ to make it ‘https‘ as shown in the screenshot below. In your case, simply type in your respective URL and insert the ‘s‘ into the http. That simple.
Step 4
Install plugin “Really Simple SSL”
Click on the tab : ‘Plugins‘ on the left, you will be directed to the Plugin screen. Click on the blue button ‘Add New‘.
You will be directed to another screen shown below. Under the ‘Keyword‘ entry box, type in ‘really simple ssl‘, the system will populate various choices for you to choose from. Select ‘Really Simple SSL by Roger Lankhorst‘ and click ‘Install Now‘.
Once the installation has completed, simple click on ‘Activate‘ to activate the plugin.
Next, you will be directed to the screen shown below. There is this blue button : ‘Go ahead, activate SSL!‘, click on this button to complete the activation of SSL.
Now, in your Plugins screen, you will see that Really Simple SSL has been successfully activated and is use.
Once you go to your website, press ‘F5‘ to refresh it, you will now see that your URL has changed to, in this example, ‘https://estoresingapore.com/buyonline/‘ and there is a Green Lock icon before it. Congratulation, you have successfully converted your website to HTTPS!
